Shelby County General Sessions Court Clerk’s Office is committed to protecting the public and General Sessions’ employees from the spread of COVID - 19. We are attentive of this pandemic and we are taking necessary precautions to reduce the risk of exposure to the Coronavirus. Please see the information below related to the General Sessions Civil and Criminal Court proceeding. General Session Court Clerk’s Office is open for business 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at our downtown locations and 8 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. at satellite locations.
General Sessions’ Hickory Ridge satellite location is closed. If you need to make a payment you are encourage to make your payment online or by telephone. If you have inquiries call 222-3400 for Civil matters or call (901) 222-3500 for Criminal Division matters.
Otherwise, you are welcome to visit our Mullins Station location for your business needs.

GENERAL SESSIONS COURTS:
“In accordance to the Supreme Court Order issued 12/22/2020 and the Executive Order by Governor Lee issued 12/21/22020, the Shelby County General Sessions Civil Court will be closed effective December 28, 2020 to January 29, 2021 for all in-person proceedings. The only cases that will be heard by the General Sessions Civil Court Judges are the Emergency Mental Health Commitments. (See orders below.)”
