The Tennessee Commissioner of Insurance office is available to assist plaintiffs and defendants in the service of process to insurance companies in the state of Tennessee. In order to use this process several criteria must be followed.

        
                                       
           

1.

   Please make sure a complete mailing address, for each party to be served, is provided.        
           

2.

   Please be sure that the insured parties name and address is included with the insurance company information.
        
           

3.

   An original civil warrant and a copy for each defendant must be provided.        
           

4.

   A check for $15.00, per defendant, made payable to the Tennessee Commissioner of Insurance, must be provided.        
           

5.

   Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for papers to be served and returned.        
           

6.

   The General Sessions Court Clerk's Office will process the papers and send them to the Tennessee Commissioner of Insurance at:
